Nepal – Himalaya Trekking 2021

Launching our international trips for 2021, we will be visiting Nepal, home to the world’s most famous trekking routes and mountains. The Annapurna region is host for two of our trips this season.

Day 1

Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport and meet your team. Transfer to Pokhara by local flight and drive to Nayapul village. Start your trek to Ulleri village located at 1500m. Overnight at the trekking lodge. (D)

Day 2

Breakfast and begin your hike from Ulleri to Ghorepani  (2900m). Arrival and overnight at the trekking lodge. Today you will have your first views of Annapurna South peak. (B/L/D)

Day 3

An early wake up as you hike to the famous Poonhill for an impressive sunrise and views of some of the highest mountains in the world. Return to your lodge for breakfast and continue your hike to Tadapani (3210m), through the rhododendron forest. Overnight at the trekking lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 4

Tadapani to Chhomrong (2170m) trekking across the valley where you will see Fish Tail peak (Machhpuchhre Mountain) and the valley entrance to the Sanctuary hike to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). Overnight at the trekking lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 4

Day 5

Chhomrong to Jhinudanada hot springs for a bath in the natural hot water before continuing to Landruk (1565m). Overnight at the trekking lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 5

Today begin your trek along the Sanctuary Trail to the Himalayan Hotel (2,920m). Overnight at the trekking lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 6

Today hike from Landruk to Australian camp (2100m). Overnight at the trekking lodge. (B/L/D)

Day 6

ABC Day as you rise early and begin the trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Celebrate your arrival, photos and time to relax. Dinner and overnight at the trekking lodge. (4,130m) (B/L/D)

Day 7

Your final day trekking as you head down from Australian camp to Kande (1770m). Finish!! Board your bus for the transfer to Pokhara where you will check-in to your hotel for lunch and time to relax and explore the amazing town of Pokhara. Lake View Resort or Kuti Resort. (B/L).

Day 7

This morning after breakfast you will trek down to Bamboo village on your return down the Sanctuary Valley.  Overnight in Bamboo.  (B/L/D)

Day 8

Check-out after breakfast and fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu transfer to the Opium Restaurant (Old Café Reena) for lunch. After Lunch a sightseeing tour of Swoyambhunath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Dinner at Opium restaurant. Overnight at  Hotel Yak and Yeti or Aloft by Marriott. (B/L/D)

Day 8

This morning continue your descent as you hike back through Chhomrong and down the steep path to Jhinuwa village (1780m) for your next overnight.  (B/L/D) 

Day 9

Breakfast at Hotel. After breakfast sightseeing of Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple. After sightseeing drop to International Airport for your departure home.  (B)

Day 9

Jhinuwa to Ghandruk village (1,940m) and overnight in the trekking lodge. 

Day 10

Your final day trekking as you head down from Ghandruk to Nayapul – Finish!! Board your bus for the transfer to Pokhara where you will check-in to your hotel for lunch and time to relax and explore the amazing town of Pokhara. Lake View Resort or Kuti Resort. (B/L).

Day 11

Check-out after breakfast and fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu transfer to the Opium Restaurant (Old Café Reena) for lunch. After Lunch a sightseeing tour of Swoyambhunath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Dinner at Opium restaurant. Overnight at  Hotel Yak and Yeti or Aloft by Marriott. (B/L/D)

Price: the above price is inclusive of all main costs. Guests will be required to ensure they have the correct equipment and clothing for the hiking. The cost of trekking in Nepal is much lower than some other countries making it more accessible and affordable to many. The price may differ and is dependent upon flight costs and number of participants:

  • Ghorepani Trek:
    • 5-9 persons: OMR 1195/- per person
    • 10-14 persons: OMR 995/- per person
    • Single supplement: OMR 80/- per person
  • Annapurna Base Camp Trek:
    • 5-9 persons: OMR 1490/- per person
    • 10-15 persons: OMR 1090/- per person
    • Single supplement: OMR 100/- per person.

Costs: the price does not include: tips, personal travel insurance (must include cover for Covid-19), extra costs for food and beverages not included in the package and extra travel, excursions or accommodation not mentioned or included in the tour.

Accommodation: During the trekking, guests will be accommodated in local tea-houses. Rooms which may or may not be shared with a fellow hiker. These rooms are very basic with a bed and mattress only. Some tea-houses offer shower options, and all have proper bathrooms.

Safety: GET Outdoors, with their partners, ensure that all groups are fully supported. With the group will be first aid qualified guides, satellite phone, emergency rescue cover, if it is required, and a team of guides and porters who are experienced in climbing the mountain. Guests are required to prepare themselves fully for the trip.

Pre-trip requirements: All guests will be required to attend 1 of 2 hiking and camping sessions held in Oman. These sessions will include an opportunity to trek together, discuss the trip, route and FAQ’s many guests will ask. These sessions are included in the price and vital for the whole group to prepare for this trip

Altitude! These trekking routes do enter altitudes ab doe 3000 and 4000 metres respectively. Even the fittest and most prepared climbers can be affected by altitude. Severe altitude sickness will result in guests returning to lower altitudes and in some cases back to their hotel. It is usually the ABC trek which can pose altitude issues for some but it is usually for a short period of time.
